Tag One Motorsports Returns to Action with a Pair of Podium Finishes at Calabogie!

Calabogie, Ontario (July 17–19, 2026) — Following a nearly two-month hiatus since the season opener at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Tag One Motorsports returned to action this weekend at Calabogie Motorsports Park for Rounds 3 and 4 of the EMZONE Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin.

The return to competition proved to be especially demanding. Constantly changing weather conditions forced teams to adapt to a track where grip levels evolved with every passing rain shower. Despite these challenges, the Tag One Motorsports drivers quickly found their rhythm and showcased the work accomplished over the past several weeks.

During the break in the racing calendar, several drivers continued their preparation at the A1 Simulation facilities, a partner of Tag One Motorsports. That work paid off on track, as the team remained competitive throughout the weekend.

 In the Masters class, Cédric Ohayon (#44) delivered a standout performance by securing podium finishes in both races. After claiming a strong second-place finish on Saturday, he followed it up with a third-place result on Sunday, further demonstrating both the team's progress and his remarkable consistency.

“The race was a lot of fun. It was very exciting, with a close battle against Robert Burgess and John Painter for most of the race. Grip was limited and overtaking opportunities were scarce, so we finished second, a result we're very pleased with. We hope to carry this momentum into the next race and wrap up the weekend on a high note,” said Cédric Ohayon.

The second race of the weekend featured its share of drama, including several full-course cautions that slowed the pace of the event. Despite the interruptions, the Tag One Motorsports drivers continued to deliver strong performances.

In the Pro class, Alex Tagliani finished fifth, followed by John Benoualid in seventh. Antoine Sénéchal was forced to retire from the race due to a mechanical issue.

In the Masters class, Cédric Ohayon added a second podium to his weekend with a third-place finish, while Denis Larue crossed the line in sixth and Alexandre Moïse finished seventh.

Cédric’s two podium finishes reflect the progress our team has made and all the hard work that has gone into the program since the beginning of the year. We continue to learn, develop our drivers, and build an organization that will be capable of competing at a high level in the Radical Cup Canada over the long term. Away from the on-track action, Tag One Motorsports' corporate guests once again enjoyed an immersive paddock experience alongside the team's drivers and crew.

The season will continue on August 7–8 at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, one of Canada's premier motorsport events. Throughout the weekend, Tag One Motorsports will welcome its partners and guests while also showcasing its racing simulators and an official team merchandise booth.
