Tag One Motorsports scores a double win at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières: Tagliani wins Pro, Ohayon wins Masters. 🏁

Trois-Rivières, Quebec, August 7–9, 2026 — Tag One Motorsports enjoyed a remarkable weekend at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières. For its only Quebec event on the EMZONE Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin calendar, the team celebrated two victories during the first race of the weekend, with Alex Tagliani taking the win in the Pro category and Cédric Ohayon claiming victory in the Masters category.

For Tag One Motorsports, this event holds particular significance. In addition to being the only race of the season held in Quebec, the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières gives the team the opportunity to race close to home while bringing together many of its partners, guests, friends and motorsport fans around its racing program.

After a weekend highlighted by two podium finishes for Cédric Ohayon at Calabogie Motorsports Park in July, the team continued its strong progress on the street circuit.

A Successful First Race!

‍

Following a demanding first race, Alex Tagliani secured the victory in the Pro category, allowing Tag One Motorsports to celebrate its first win at home. For the Quebec driver, the victory also rewarded the hard work of a team that is still young in the championship.

‍

“It was a very satisfying day. It was great to win the Radical race because it's a way to motivate the team and thank everyone for their hard work,” said Alex Tagliani.

‍

“We're a young team; we've only done a few races together, and it's really fun to already be celebrating at events, especially at an event like the GP3R. We have one more Radical race left, and we'll try to perform well again. Fingers crossed!”

A Street Circuit That Leaves No Room for Error!

‍

The Trois-Rivières street circuit presents a unique challenge for drivers. Its demanding layout requires precision on every lap, particularly through the many tight corners that characterize the track.

‍

Here, every racing line can make a difference. Entering a corner too wide can quickly bring the car closer to the wall, while taking a line that is too conservative can cost valuable tenths of a second. The proximity of the walls, combined with the technical and tight corners, leaves very little room for error.

‍

The opening sessions of the weekend allowed the drivers and engineers to fine-tune their setups and adapt to the particular characteristics of the circuit. With particularly tight margins on this type of track, consistency and precision are essential to remain at the front of the field.

Despite the challenges and technical adjustments required to adapt to the circuit, Cédric Ohayon continued to impress. In the Masters category, the driver of the No. 44 Radical also delivered an excellent performance, reaching the podium twice. After securing two podium finishes at Calabogie, Ohayon continued his strong momentum with another impressive performance.

“It was fun and the race was great. It was physically demanding, but we're happy. It's difficult to stay focused and we're starting to feel the fatigue, but it's okay; we're satisfied with the result, so we're not going to complain,” explained Ohayon.

The driver also highlighted his particular appreciation for the track, which holds an important place in the world of motorsport: “I love this track. It's one of my favorite circuits of the year, and it's not because of the results.”

Beyond the competition, the GP3R represents a significant milestone in Tag One Motorsports' first full season in the Radical Cup Canada. Racing at home allows the organization to continue developing on track while strengthening its relationships with partners and introducing its racing program to an even larger audience of motorsport fans.

The season continues at Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Markham on August 14, 15 and 16, where the team and its drivers will continue working to build and grow this premier organization in Canadian motorsport.
